Commissioned as Lt in King's Royal Regt of New
York Nov 78 sailed for New York, but was
captured. He eventually reached Falmouth,
Cornwall, in Jan 1779 "in a most forlorn
condition", destitute and suffering from fever
and smallpox He was in Niagara in 1788 His claim
was rejected after evidence given on 28. 4.89,
so he may have been alive then. see "The
