This autographed picture appears as an illustration in Frederick Russell Burnham’s, Scouting on Two Continents, 1926. Burnham was a well known military scout in both America and Africa. He served with Baden-Powell in the Matabeleland Campaign of 1896. In later years, Burnham remained a great admirer of B-P’s and of the Movement he founded. In 1931, he spoke at the naming of a peak in the Sierras as Mount Baden-Powell.
