In Adventures
and Accidents Baden-Powell described this event as
"one of the most thrilling moments of my life."
33,000 Scouts were assembled in
Windsor Great Park for a review by the King. It was the
largest recorded gathering of youth in Britain until that
time.
The ribbon on the left displays the colors of the King George V Coronation Medal awarded to
Baden-Powell for his participation in the Coronation on
June 22, 1911.
